Meta Snapshot Updates

This week we’re making three additions/subtractions to our Meta Snapshot.

First, we’re adding of Han1/Yellow to our list in the Tempo category. This is one that has been on our radar for the last few weeks. It’s a high-variance deck that uses the Tech/DJ combo to ramp while also stalling the opponent’s ramp. It had success in Baltimore this weekend (see below) so we’re adding it to our list.

Second, we’re removing Tarkin/Yellow from our list. While we had high hopes for Triple Dark Raid-based decks starting off in the meta, it seems like players have largely adapted to their space-based tricks. If another build rises to take it’s place, then we’ll add it.

Third, we’re adding Bossk/Green to the Midrange lane after the strong performance of Bossk on the 3rd day of SCGCON. This deck has some choice lines like double ramping on a Bossk deploy into big guns like Vader, the Emperor and Krayt Dragon.

Baltimore SCGCON

Star City Games held a whopping THREE cash tournaments this weekend in Baltimore, Maryland. The first, on Friday had 42 players. The second, on Saturday, had ~60 players. The third, on Sunday, had 24 players.

Atlanta Store Championship

We’re catching up on one result that came in late last week, a 50-person Store Championship at GigaBytes Cafe in Marietta, Georgia. It was won by WordOfBird with Sabine/Green.
