Meta Snapshot Updates

This week we have four changes to our meta snapshot.

We’re adding Boba/Red to our meta snapshot thanks to its success at Planetary Qualifier events over the past three weeks. It’s a strong aggro deck that harnesses many of the most powerful cards in the Yellow/Red color combination- Boba Fett, his Firespray, Triple Dark Raid and Ruthless Raider. And yes, this does mean that ALL FOUR flavors of Boba are now on the snapshot.

As we add one red/yellow combination, we’re removing another in Kylo/Yellow. While this deck is capable of impressive burst aggro, PQ results have shown that it lacks the reliable punch to achieve the level of success that Sabine/Green has. It also suffers from the rise in popularity Boba/Green has experienced.

Third, we’re removing Han2/Green. This deck had success earlier in the meta using an unanticipated unit swarm to overwhelm opponents. However, it has yet to make a splash at PQs and doesn’t seem to be a force outside Germany/Poland. It also suffers from Boba/Green’s recent rise. Until we see play outside countries that border the Oder River, we’re taking it off our list.

Finally, we’re removing Bossk/Green from the snapshot. While Bossk can ramp at impressive levels and flood the board with large units, the need to run lots of bounty cards means it can suffer from bad draws and stall out. Given that level of unpredictability, we’re removing it from the snapshot.
