Meta Snapshot Updates

We’re making one swap on our snapshot this week. The Hero Blue/Red archetype has been a staple of competitive play since it was first popularized as a Chirrut deck in Set 1. In Set 2, the concept shifted to Han2/Blue, and then in the waning days of the meta, to Rey/Red.

This weekend, we saw a new version break out- Anakin/Blue. This build scored multiple top 8 spots at SCGCON in Columbus, OH and took a Win-A-Showcase event in Portsmouth, NH. It’s the same basic formula of value units + Force Throw synergy, but Anakin adds additional power to the build. With Anakin on the rise, it feels disingenuous for us to leave three builds that are basically the same on the snapshot. As such, we’re demoting Han2/Blue off the list. It’s been declining since the newest, most-tuned versions of Rey debuted. This does not mean that we won’t see Han2 again! He’s a powerful leader that will surely find another package to build around.
