Meta Snapshot Updates
This was week four of Planetary Qualifiers and the meta feels firmly established. We’re making three changes to the meta snapshot today- two removals and one addition.
Two weeks ago, we removed Han/Green from the snapshot due to him not quite meeting the criteria for snapshot inclusion. At the time, we said Han/Green could come back pending some better results. Right on cue, this weekend he won the stacked 114-player New York PQ and the PQ in Virginia and earned his way back to the snapshot. We promise to stop doubting Han Green.

Two decks that were added to the snapshot when we had more permissive criteria for inclusion are also coming off.
The first we’re removing is Quinlan/Green. This deck won a large PQ in Chicago several weeks ago but has not managed to duplicate its success in a broader way. Since the goal of the snapshot is to give players a sense of what they’re likely to face in ~90% of games, including a one-off performance like that of Quinlan/Green just doesn’t serve anyone well. We, of course, reserve the right to add it back if it performs again.
Second, we’re removing Cad/Blue for many of the same reasons as above. It won a PQ in Nebraska at the start of PQ season, but that has not translated into either high play rates or subsequent wins.
