This weekend, Planetary Qualifiers continued at pace, with 25 events happening across the world. As always, you can check out the granular results at SWU Competitive Hub, but the big trend this week was a spike in events won by Han2/Green decks – both ECL and Data Vault.

This deck has been around in its go-wide, aggro form since the Shadows of the Galaxy meta, but rarely saw success outside of Poland. This weekend saw a breakthrough for a more midrange version of the deck featuring Data Vault. On that back of that performance, we’re adding it to the snapshot.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this weekend’s surprise winner – Ackbar! This deck takes advantage of one of my favorite rules quirks in the game- when tokens are created, they gain any static keyword that might be affecting them. In this case, that means Wedge Antilles can give all created X-Wings ambush. It’s a cool way to control the skies! Now, was this a fluke in a unique Italian meta? Possibly. Does this mean Data Vault is reaching meme-level proportions? Definitely. Regardless, it’ll be fun to watch and see if this deck proliferates in this game’s wide-open meta!
