This weekend began the Planetary Qualifier season for Legends of the Force in earnest with events all over the globe.

The winningest deck was one we’ve resisted adding to the snapshot for a considerable time now, Boba4/Data Vault. Our initial take on this deck was that burn wouldn’t be a viable strategy in set 5 with units like Gungi putting gobs of health on the table for very low cost. However, experience has shown that Boba can summon the unit damage necessary to overcome those high stat-ed units and get wins.

The big question continues to be what will the fate of Force Throw be? There’s an FFG stream scheduled for Wednesday (8/13), but we still have no indications on what the balance team might be thinking about suspensions. Given that more than half of this week’s winners were non-Force Throw decks, however, I’d bet on no change. The meta seems diverse and FFG has been reluctant to mess with that in the past.

Iden Datavault seems to be a good addition for control. She is performing well enough (1 pq win, 9 pq top 8)_ She is doing better than Palpatine and Anakin currently. Glad you finally added Boba4 🙂

Kazuda is also doing great. Might be good to keep an eye on him (1 pq win and 8 top 8).
